No data collection

"Tetris — Side Panel" is a single-player game that runs entirely inside your browser. This policy explains, in plain terms, what the extension does and does not do with your data.

What the extension stores

The extension saves the following information using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API, which keeps data on your own device only:

• Game progress — the board state, score, and current piece, so you can close the side panel and resume later.
• High scores — a local list of your best results (score, lines, level, difficulty, date).
• Preferences — your chosen language, difficulty, board width, and sound on/off setting.

What the extension does not do

• It does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information.
• It does not use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising SDKs.
• It does not access your browsing history, tabs, or the content of other websites.
• It does not communicate with any external server — everything runs locally.
• It does not create or require a user account.

Permissions used

Sound

All in-game sound effects are generated on the fly using the Web Audio API. No audio files are downloaded or recorded, and your microphone is never accessed.

Data sharing

Since no data ever leaves your device, none is shared with the developer, advertisers, analytics providers, or any other third party.

Children's privacy

The extension does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version adds an optional online feature — the "Last updated" date above will be revised and the new terms will be described here before the change ships.
